Description:

• Lead and develop a comprehensive, academic-style Gastroenterology division aligned with organizational strategic goals

• Build and expand advanced GI services, including complex endoscopic procedures and full-spectrum inpatient and outpatient care

• Recruit, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of GI hospitalists, faculty, fellows, and support staff

• Provide expert clinical care and consultation for complex GI cases

• Drive collaboration with cancer care, surgery, and internal medicine teams

• Strengthen academic partnerships and research initiatives

• Ensure reliable access to endoscopic block time and manage strong referral volumes from day one

• Engage in workforce development, training, and community outreach to improve care access and reduce disparities

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology Required

• Active and unrestricted New Jersey Medical License or willingness to obtain prior to start Required

• Valid BLS, ACLS, DEA, and CSR/CDS certifications (or ability to obtain before start) Required

• Proven experience in program development, medical directorship, or division leadership Preferred

• Must be an experienced Gastroenterologist (no new graduates)
