Position Details:

Start Date: January July

Coverage Needed: Locum Physician to provide Inpatient consultative services across 2 hospitals 10 miles apart.

Schedule Details: Dates of coverage: 1 week (7 days Mon-Sun) per month, 8a-5p.

Submission Requirements: Must meet ALL submission requirements in order to submit!

• Board certified in both Hematology and Oncology – REQUIRED
• Active NJ license – REQUIRED
• ACLS – Required – REQUIRED
• Must be able to work for both Atlantic City and Galloway locations – REQUIRED

Work Details:

• Practice Setting: Hospital
• Inpatient consultative services across 2 hospitals 10 miles apart
• Coverage needed due to growth in outpatient volume and part-time inpatient providers being sick.
• Patient population: Adult and Geriatric
• Practice distribution: 49% hematology, 51% oncology
• 5.6 physicians in the practice
• Radiation Oncologist available at EHT Cancer Center for case discussions
• 8 APPs providing coverage – Monday to Friday, an inpatient NP will assist the MD with notes, orders, and staff communication
• Average hospital patient load: 8 per day (5 consults, 3 follow-ups)
• Clinical areas: Oncology and Hematology in an inpatient setting
• Hospital trauma level: Atlantic City – Level 1
• EMR system: Cerner
• Required procedures: Inpatient consultative services
