A well-established cardiology practice in New Brunswick, New Jersey is seeking a Cardiology Hospitalist PA/NP to support inpatient cardiovascular care in collaboration with rotating attending physicians.

About the Opportunity

• Hybrid or Remote: On-site
• Shift: Day shift
• Schedule:Monday-Wednesday
• Hours: 10-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Setting: 100% inpatient
• Patient Population: Adults (18+)
• EMR: EPIC
• Assignment Type: Part-time, temporary (maternity leave coverage starting February; through September with possible per diem extension)

Responsibilities

The Cardiology Hospitalist PA/NP will be responsible for:

• Performing inpatient evaluations, consults, and daily management of cardiology patients
• Ordering, interpreting, and documenting diagnostic testing and treatment plans
• Prescribing medications and obtaining procedural consents
• Assisting with admissions, discharges, transfers, and care coordination
• Providing patient and family education
• Collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and consulting providers

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a PA or NP in cardiology
• Master’s degree from an accredited PA or NP program
• Board certification as PA-C or NP
• Active New Jersey license, DEA, and CDS
• BLS and ACLS required
• Strong inpatient clinical judgment and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a rotating physician model
