URGENT Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon Locum Tenens Opportunity Atlantic City, NJ

Looking to make an impact while earning top dollar in a vibrant coastal city? We re seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon for a critical backfill role in Atlantic City, NJ. This is a high-demand locum assignment at a Level II Trauma Center offering a dynamic caseload and generous compensation.

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed

• Shift Schedule:

  • In-house: 7:00 AM 5:00 PM

  • Night Call: 5:00 PM 7:00 AM

• Clinic: One half-day per week (5 10 indigent patients)

Compensation:

• Daily Rate (7a 5p): $2,500/day

• Night Call (5p 7a): $1000/night

• Call Back (hourly): $450/hour

• Travel & Lodging: Complimentary

• Malpractice Coverage: Provided

Facility & Role Highlights:

• Trauma Level: II

• Setting: Hospital-based (Level 2 Trauma Center)

• Surgical Cases: 3 5 per day

• Clinic Patients: Avg. 6 during half-day clinic

• Operating Rooms: 7

• Annual Case Volume: 700

• EMR: Cerner

• On-Call Ratio: 1:3 ( days/month)

• Surgeon Coverage: Private practice group (10 providers)

• Population Focus: Adult & Geriatric (no pediatrics)

Requirements:

• Board Certification: REQUIRED

• NJ License: REQUIRED

• BLS Certification: REQUIRED

• Orthopedic Trauma Experience: Strongly preferred

• Must Be Comfortable With:

  • Hip Joint Replacement & Revisions

  • General Ortho Trauma (fractures, dislocations, amputations, etc.)
