About the Role

Job Overview
We are seeking a licensed and experienced Nursing Home Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our senior care facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of long-term care, and a compassionate approach to resident care. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining high standards of quality care for our residents, including those with dementia and memory care needs. The Licensed Nursing Home Administrator will play a pivotal role in fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents and staff alike.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of facility operations, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Oversee the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory impairments.
Supervise nursing staff and direct care providers to ensure delivery of high-quality assisted living and senior care services.
Coordinate with healthcare professionals to facilitate medication administration, health assessments, and emergency response procedures.
Maintain effective communication with residents’ families regarding care plans and facility updates.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, infection control standards, and quality assurance measures.
Manage operational aspects such as licensing, audits, documentation, and regulatory reporting.
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional development, and staff retention.
Implement policies that support home & community care initiatives while maintaining compliance with applicable laws.

Requirements

Valid license as a Nursing Home Administrator or equivalent certification.
Extensive experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, retirement homes, or group homes.
Proven supervisory experience managing multidisciplinary teams in assisted living or home & community care environments.
Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care programs, and resident-centered approaches.
Familiarity with developing resident care plans tailored to individual needs including those with developmental disabilities or requiring social work interventions.
Demonstrated skills in management, operations oversight, budgeting, and financial acumen.
Experience working with seniors requiring specialized care such as medication administration or complex health conditions.
Excellent leadership abilities combined with compassion for elderly residents and their families.
Ability to navigate regulatory requirements related to healthcare facilities and long-term care operations.
