About the Opportunity
A growing and innovative surgical program in New Jersey is seeking a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon to join its expanding team. This role offers a unique opportunity to focus on post-bariatric body contouring, while also performing a mix of reconstructive and aesthetic procedures.
This position is ideal for a surgeon looking to play a key role in building and growing a plastic surgery service line, working alongside a collaborative bariatric and multidisciplinary care team.

Position Overview
The Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon will provide high-quality surgical and non-surgical aesthetic care, with a strong emphasis on post-weight loss body contouring.
You will guide patients through their full transformation journey from consultation through post-operative care while contributing to program development and patient experience excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of plastic and reconstructive procedures, including post-bariatric body contouring
- Provide aesthetic services based on expertise (injectables, laser treatments, facial procedures)
- Conduct patient consultations, treatment planning, and post-operative follow-up
- Collaborate with bariatric and multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care
- Participate in case reviews and treatment planning discussions
- Educate patients on procedures, expectations, recovery, and outcomes
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
- Support service line growth through program development, outreach, and brand-building initiatives
- Deliver exceptional patient-centered care focused on safety and outcomes
Qualifications
Education & Certification:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
- Active or eligible New Jersey medical license
- Fellowship training in aesthetic or body contouring preferred (not required)
Experience
- 1 2+ years of post-residency experience preferred
- Experience with massive weight-loss body contouring strongly preferred
Skills & Abilities
- Strong surgical and clinical decision-making skills
- Expertise in wound care and post-operative management
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in growing a surgical program
Work Schedule
- Full-Time position
- Primarily weekday schedule
- Mix of clinic and procedural/surgical days
- No mandatory hospital call (practice-dependent)
