Human Resources Manager – New Jersey
We are hiring a Human Resources Manager to lead and support organization-wide people operations for a New Jersey-based office. This role oversees the full employee lifecycle and serves as a strategic partner to senior leadership onworkforce planning, compliance, employee relations, and HR program management.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to senior HR leadership, this position is responsible for:
- Directing all human resources activities across the organization, including ongoing review and enhancement of policies, practices, and internal processes.
- Leading talent acquisition, onboarding, professional development, and retention efforts in alignment with employment laws and industry best practices.
- Evaluating staffing requirements, monitoring workforce metrics, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels; providing oversight and guidance to non-exempt administrative and clerical staff.
- Serving as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including issue resolution, investigations, and performance management guidance.
- Managing compliance related to leaves of absence and accommodations, coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely handling.
- Partnering with payroll and benefits teams to support the administration of health, retirement, and other employee benefit programs.
- Ensuring job descriptions and role specifications are current, accurate, and reviewed on a consistent basis.
- Keeping senior leadership informed of HR trends, concerns, and initiatives; supporting reporting, analytics, and special projects as requested.
- Assisting with onboarding and integration of new employees to promote engagement and long-term success.
- Taking on additional responsibilities or projects as business needs evolve.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a legal or professional services setting.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR).
- Demonstrated ability to navigate sensitive issues, assess risk, and implement effective, compliant solutions.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Solid understanding of HR practices within professional services environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational and detail-management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general business technology platforms.
Compensation & Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation is commensurate with experience, with an anticipated salary range of $125,000-$140,000.

Pay Details: $125,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year
