Elmer Door and Exteriors is seeking a skilled and reliable Installer to join our team. This position is responsible for the installation, service, and repair of residential and light commercial garage doors, entry doors, awnings, and exterior shutter systems. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Install residential and commercial garage doors, openers, and related components
• Install entry doors, storm doors, awnings, and exterior shutters
• Perform service calls, repairs, and preventative maintenance
• Accurately measure job sites and verify product specifications prior to installation
• Ensure all installations meet manufacturer specifications and company quality standards
• Safely operate tools, equipment, and company vehicles
• Communicate professionally with customers on-site, addressing questions and concerns
• Maintain clean and organized job sites before, during, and after installation
• Complete all required job documentation, including work orders and installation reports
• Work collaboratively with sales and office staff to ensure smooth project execution

Qualifications

• Prior experience installing garage doors, entry doors, or similar exterior products preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret measurements, blueprints, and installation instructions
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs and perform physical labor in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
