Facility:
This well-established health system operates across multiple campuses, including a 400-bed mainland facility and a 200-bed city campus, providing comprehensive cardiovascular care to the southern New Jersey region. The facility supports a robust cardiology department with a team of 24 cardiologists, a 23-bed ICU, and a collaborative environment where locum providers work alongside permanent staff.

Opportunity:
Physician – Cardiology – Non-Invasive

Job Details:

• Provide Non-Invasive Cardiology coverage in an inpatient/call setting starting July and ongoing
• Coverage consists of 1-2 week blocks, Monday through Friday with weekend coverage included
• Standard shift hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Weekend call required at a ratio of 2:4 (does not have to be consecutive), approximately 2+ weekends per month
• Average of 20 clinic patients per day in an adult and geriatric patient population
• Other cardiologists will be present during locum coverage; no supervision of other healthcare providers required
• Procedures required include Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, Electrocardiograms (EKGs), and Treadmill Stress Tests
• Documentation via Oracle/Cerner EMR (Cerner experience preferred)
• Board Certification required; BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Active New Jersey state license required or willingness to obtain
• Fellowship training required
• NPDB Self-Query report required at time of presentation (must be pulled within 30 days)
• Estimated credentialing timeframe is 30-60 days
• Travel reimbursement available including flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage billed at the IRS standard rate

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
