Job Summary
The Medical Assistant will support clinical operations by preparing patients for exams, assisting providers during procedures, and maintaining a safe and organized clinical environment. Experience in a specialist (Vein Specialist preferred) or out-patient facility.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and prepare them for examinations
- Obtain vital signs and document patient concerns and symptoms in the EMR
- Assist providers with patient treatments and in-office procedures
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and clear communication at all times
- Travel to satellite office locations as needed (mileage reimbursement provided)
- Assist with scheduling requested testing and labs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sterile environment for all clinical and surgical procedures
- Prepare solutions for injections as directed
- Adheres to all Policies and Procedures, and follows safety guidelines to ensure a safe work and patient care environment
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional, polite, and patient-focused attitude
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Team-oriented with strong attention to detail
