About the Role

A health services network in New Jersey is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Neonatology team.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day or Night
• Schedule: 2-3 shifts per week
• Hours: 12 to 24-hour shifts
• Setting: Neonatal care

Responsibilities:

• Providing direct patient care to neonatal patients (average census: 10-15 patients)
• Conducting daily rounds and collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams
• Supporting attending physicians and fellow providers
• Communicating effectively with patients’ families regarding care plans and progress
• Performing procedures such as arterial puncture, endotracheal intubation, and umbilical line placement
• Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in Neonatology
• Advanced Practice Provider degree (NP or PA)
• Active NJS Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) license
• Proficiency in Arterial Puncture, Endotracheal Intubation, and Umbilical Line Placement
• Competency in EPIC EMR system
• Strong patient care skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Desired Qualifications:

• Advanced Degree in Neonatology
• Relevant certifications in Neonatology
