About the Role

A healthcare services organization in New Jersey is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join theirInfectious Disease team at one of their facilities in Bergen County.Responsibilities:

The Infectious Disease NP will be responsible for:

• Diagnosing infectious diseases by evaluating a patient’s medical history, conducting physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests, such as blood work or imaging
• Prescribingantibiotics, antiviral medications, or other appropriate treatments for infectious diseases
• Educatingpatients about the nature of their infectious disease, how it is transmitted, and how to prevent its spread
• Administering vaccines to prevent certain infectious diseases and offer counseling on immunization schedules and strategies
• Following and promoting infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infectious diseases within the facility
• Providingongoing care for patients with chronic or recurrent infectious diseases
• Monitoring progress, adjusting treatment plans, and ensuring that patients are recovering as expected
• Performing other duties, as neededQualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Open to new graduates!)
  • NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
  • Familiarity and/or interest in Infectious Disease
