About the Role

Job Description
We are working with a facility in New Jersey to provide orthopedic surgery call coverage support. Please review the assignment details below:

Assignment Details
• Ongoing locums coverage (July December)
• Hospital-based setting
• Adult patient population
• Non-trauma center

Schedule
• 5 7 days of coverage per month
• 24-hour unrestricted call shifts
• No clinic responsibilities
• Dedicated OR time for hip fracture cases daily at 3:00 PM

Practice Setting
• Hospital orthopedic service
• Supported by Physician Assistants and hospital staff
• Collaborative team environment

Work Details
• 8 10 consults/calls per day
• 2 3 procedures per shift
• Cases include hip fractures and emergency department consults (e.g., hand injuries)
• Post-discharge referrals coordinated to local orthopedic groups
• EMR: Epic

Procedures
• Operative management of hip fractures
• Evaluation and treatment of acute orthopedic injuries
• Emergency department consults

Requirements
• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
• Active New Jersey license
• DEA required
