Practice Setting: Inpatient/Hospital-based

Patient Volume: Operate on 2 patients/day; round on 5-12 patients/day (ICU and floor), includes consults

EMR: Cerner

Required Procedures & Duties:

• Retrieval of vascular tissues for use as bypass conduit

• Endoscopic vein harvest (EVH)

• Chest tube insertions

• First assist in cardiac surgery

• Rounding and coordination of care

• Diagnose and treat illnesses, order/interpret tests, write prescriptions, suture removal

Requirements:

• NCCPA Certification – Required

• Active New Jersey License – Required (no licensing delays)Compact License Accepted

• Minimum 2-3 years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience including EVH and first assist

• Cerner EMR experience – Preferred
